Aaron Rodgers Will Start For Packers In Week 17

Dec 11, 2014 6:30 AM

Aaron Rodgers took first team reps in the Green Bay Packers' practice on Thursday and was named the starter by Mike McCarthy.

Rodgers hasn't played since suffering a fractured collarbone in November.

The Packers have a play-in game on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

The reps taken by Rodgers were in individual drills as the media didn't see 11-on-11 work.

“Any football player that plays Sunday will have risk," said McCarthy. "We’ve done our due diligence. We feel it’s time for Aaron to play”

J.J. Watt Expects To Undergo Plastic Surgery On Nose

Nov 25, 2014 1:50 PM

J.J. Watt is likely to undergo plastic surgery on his injured nose this offseason.

Watt has had multiple collisions this year that has resulted in blood coming down from the bridge of his nose.

The decision is mainly at the prodding of Watt's mother.

Watt has acknowledged that the injury is "very painful" every time he gets it, but is fine if nothing touches it.

"Once it gets time to heal up and rest, it goes back to pretty normal," he said. "We'll see what happens. If it doesn't heal itself, then I will look into getting it fixed."
