Arian Foster is likely to undergo a heart procedure after an irregular heartbeat reappeared and forced him to leave the Houston Texans' Week 16 game against the Vikings.

Foster has had an issue with his heart since he was 12 years old and has had about eight incidents where his heart began to race uncontrollably.

Doctors told Foster that former NBA player Hakeem Olajuwan had the same ailment.

Foster finished the 2012 NFL season sixth in rushing yards with 1,424 and 15 touchdowns. Foster also caught two touchdown passes.
