Percy Harvin To Undergo Hip Surgery, Likely Out Until November

Nov 1, 2014 9:10 PM

Percy Harvin will undergo hip surgery.

It is unclear how long Harvin will be out, but early estimations put the number at three to four months. Harvin would not be able to return until November under that timeframe.

The Seattle Seahawks acquired Harvin in the offseason in exchange for a first-round and seventh-round pick in 2013 and a third-round pick in 2014. Harvin also signed a six-year, $67 million extension with $25 million guaranteed.

Rice: Seahawks Trust Percy Harvin On Injuries

Sep 13, 2014 6:09 PM

Percy Harvin has often missed practices with various ailments throughout his NFL career and is currently seeking a second opinion on his injured hip.

"Guys around here trust [Harvin] and believe in him," Sidney Rice said. "It's nothing like coming out here and taking days off and doing his own thing. I don’t think he’s that type of person. You get that perception from people that don’t really know what's going on, and they just hear stuff and they just create their own [impression]."

Robert Griffin III Will Wear Brace For Entire 2013 Season

Sep 26, 2014 1:24 PM

Robert Griffin III will wear a brace on his surgically repaired right knee during the entire 2013 season.

“I don’t think I’m mindful of it,” Griffin said. “I don’t really worry about my leg any more. I just play football. That’s a sign that you’re getting ready. Consistently I forget my brace, like I did on the first day [of camp] and everybody made a big deal out of that. But I feel great. It’s just about Coach wanting to be real cautious with me. And that’s understandable. So I’m just taking it that way and I feel good in seven-on-seven.”
