Michael Crabtree is expected to play for the first time since tearing his Achilles in the spring.

"I'm really ready to play," Crabtree said from his locker Friday. "It's been a long time coming."

"I feel comfortable enough to play," Crabtree added. "I feel great."

Crabtree emerged as a legitimate No. 1 receiver after Colin Kaepernick took over for Alex Smith last season.

The Denver Broncos will be without defensive end Derek Wolfe for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wolfe fell ill on Friday's team bus ride to the airport.

"After the club's medical staff examined him, he was taken to the hospital by ambulance for testing and observation," the Broncos said in a statement. "At this time, Wolfe is continuing to be evaluated by doctors to determine the cause of his symptoms."

Aaron Dobson has been ruled out of Sunday's game by the New England Patriots against the Houston Texans.

Dobson suffered a foot injury in the Patriots' win over the Denver Broncos last Sunday.

Kenbrell Thompkins took Dobson's spot in the second half of the game.

Zac Stacy is expected to play on Sunday for the St. Louis Rams against the San Francisco 49ers.

Stacy is coming back from a concussion in last week's game.

Stacy has 624 yards on 141 carries and four touchdowns.

Percy Harvin is dealing with issues again on his surgically repaired hip.

Harvin is seeing doctors on Saturday and his status for Monday's important matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints is in doubt.

Crabtree has practiced over the past three weeks and is expected to be in the lineup on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

Wes Welker is probable for Sunday's game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.

Welker has passed all the tests from independent neurologists necessary for him to play.

Welker signed with the Broncos this offseason after spending six seasons with the Patriots.
