The Seattle Seahawks have had discussions with the Atlanta Falcons on a trade for Julio Jones.

Jones and Russell Wilson have been in touch with each other to discuss the possibility of playing for the same tema.

The Seahawks already have a talented group of wide receivers led by DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. 

The Falcons have already received an offer of a future first round pick for Jones. 

The Seahawks do not have a first-round pick in 2022 after sending it to the New York Jets last year to acquire safety Jamal Adams.

Russell Wilson is re-committed to the Seattle Seahawks for the 2021 season, according to a report.

Wilson "fully understands" his place in the organization and has regained confidence in the team after it agreed to shift its offensive philosophy, among other things.

Per the report, Wilson wanted three things to change at the start of the offseason, "1.) A new offensive philosophy that would maximize him as a player, 2.) A real, high-end, ready-to-play addition to the offensive line, and 3.) Communication on the direction of the team from Pete Carroll and (general manager) John Schneider."

Multiple teams have expressed interest in former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin, according to a report.

A fifth-round pick in 2018, the linebacker appeared in 46 games in Seattle, compiling a sack, six quarterback hits, and 25 tackles.

Shaquem's twin brother, Shaquill Griffin, signed a big-money deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason.

DK Metcalf didn't advance to the finals in his professional track debut, but the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver fared better than some expected.

With an official time of 10.37 seconds, Metcalf finished last among the nine in his heat and 15th among the 17 who competed in the USA Track and Field Golden Games and Distance Open in Walnut, California.

"These are world-class athletes," Metcalf said. "They do this for a living. It's very different from football speed, from what I just realized. So, like I said, just excited to be out here."

DK Metcalf is one of 16 sprinters entered to run at the USATF Golden Games and Distance Open on Saturday.

The Seattle Seahawks receiver got an invitation to the event after famously chasing down Budda Baker following an interception last season.

Metcalf's agent has not confirmed that he is attempting to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials, which are used to select U.S. representatives for the Olympic Games. However, a good performance at the Golden Games could give him the opportunity.

Pete Carroll has confirmed that he has been in contact with Richard Sherman, although a reunion between the Seattle Seahawks and the defender isn't in the works.

"That's not one of our thoughts right now that we're going out and getting another guy at that spot, but we're going to keep looking," Carroll said of the cornerback position. "We're not going to stop looking and we're going to compete. So in that sense, I leave everything open and that's just one of them."

Sherman, 33, is a free agent after spending the past three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
