The Titans fear they may be without wide receiver Kenny Britt for an extended period of time after he suffered a right knee injury on Sunday afternoon. The team is worried that Britt has torn both his ACL and his MCL in the knee, according to league sources. "Obviously, it didn't look good when he got hurt," coach Mike Munchak said. "We will have to wait until tomorrow to see the extent of that." He was hurt just after catching his third pass, his knee buckling as Britt tried to turn upfield.

Chris Johnson Skips Practice With Rib Injury

Jul 2, 2014 4:43 PM

Titans running back Chris Johnson skipped practice on Wednesday because of sore ribs. Johnson said he would practice Thursday and expects to face the Broncos on Sunday. The belief is that Johnson needs as much practice as possible to get on the same page as his lineman after a length training camp holdout. "I am just a little sore," he said. "I got a lot of mental reps. I'll be OK. ... I am anxious to get back on the field and play games." After missing training camp and all four preseason games because of a contract holdout, Johnson is averaging just 2.3 yards per carry through two games.

Chris Johnson Needs To Find Groove

Sep 19, 2014 10:11 AM

Titans running back Chris Johnson struggled in Week 1 just a few days after getting a new contract. The three-time Pro Bowl running back had only nine carries for 24 yards in the season opener as he works his way back into shape from his holdout that ended Sept. 2. Tennessee coach Mike Munchak is ready to give the ball to Johnson, saying he thinks the running back could have as many as 25 touches against Baltimore on Sunday. Johnson believes needs more carries than he got in the 16-14 loss to Jacksonville. "You could blame it on the whole offense," Johnson said. "We didn't stay out there on the field and do what we were supposed to do and keep the drive going. I'm sure if we had kept the drive going and stayed out there longer I would've had more carries and things like that."

Oct 16, 2014 10:53 PM

Titans running back Chris Johnson got the four-year, $53 million extension he wanted. Now he's setting his sights on goals for the 2011 season. "We haven't been to the playoffs in two years, so I want to get back to the playoffs, hopefully win the Super Bowl here," Johnson said. "I've got a lot of team goals. We haven't been in the postseason so that's the big thing this team hasn't done, and I always got that goal to rush for 2,000 yards again."
