Fisher To Serve As Consultant For Competition Committee
Former Titans coach Jeff Fisher has accepted an invitation from the league to serve as a consultant to the NFL's Competition Committee, according to the Tennessean.
Fisher, who had been co-chairman of the committee with Falcons president Rich McKay, was dismissed as Titans coach earlier this month.
"I wanted to have an opportunity to stay involved," Fisher said. "I am very close with all the members on the committee and the support staff. You can imagine the time we've spent together over the years, it's almost been like a second job. To be able to continue to participate, it is exciting to me."
Babin Wants Security From Titans
Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Babin wants a long-term deal from the Titans.
Babin said last week he's very interested in returning to Tennessee despite the departure of Jeff Fisher and Jim Washburn.
The Titans could place their franchise tag on Babin, which would pay him between $12 million and $13 million next season, but he would prefer a longer deal.
Titans Quiet On Plans For Moss
Titans coach Mike Munchak is staying quiet on Randy Moss.
Munchak declined to comment when asked if the free-agent receiver would return with the team next season on Saturday.
The Titans on Nov. 3 claimed Moss off waivers from the Vikings.
Moss finished with six catches for 80 yards in eight games with Tennessee.
Titans Hire Palmer As O-Coordinator
Titans head coach Mike Munchak has filled his second coordinator job by hiring Chris Palmer, a former head coach with the Browns who spent last season coaching in the UFL.
Tennessee announced the hiring Tuesday afternoon, shortly before Munchak was due to introduce his new defensive coordinator Jerry Gray.

The source said that while Tice never has been responsible for play-calling duties in the NFL, "going through that process" of talking to the Titans would have been beneficial for him.
