Earl Thomas won't report to training camp with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to a source.

The safety recently stated through his Instagram account that he wants the Seahawks to either pay him more money or trade him.

Thomas is scheduled to earn $8.5 million in the final year of his contract and he has vowed to skip all team activities until his contract is addressed.

Earl Thomas used social media to nudge the Seattle Seahawks in contract negotiations, suggesting they either sign him to an extension or trade him.

The safety is entering the final year of a four-year, $40 million extension.

Thomas posted a picture of himself working out on Instagram with the captain: "Always been the underdog ain't nothing new. Extend .....if you don't want me let's make a trade happen I understand it's a bizz."

He has missed seven games due to injury the past two seasons after missing zero previously.

Kam Chancellor appears to confirm that he will retire from the NFL in a message on Twitter.

“I’ve played through all types of bruises and injuries at a high level, but this one I just can’t ignore,” Chancellor wrote in a long tweet.

“To walk away from the game by choice is one thing, but to walk away from the game because of the risk of paralysis is another,” Chancellor wrote. “My final test showed no healing.”

Chancellor was referring to the neck injury he suffered last November.

Chancellor was a four-time Pro Bowler at safety.
