Russell Wilson has reported to the New York Yankees for a week of Spring Training.

During batting practice on Monday, Wilson hit six home runs. Wilson was in the same hitting group as Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

Wilson said he hoped to learn from a Yankees' organization that has won 27 World Series titles.

"There's an aroma around here that I've got to figure out, and I can't wait to learn more about it and use that for my football career," said Wilson.

The Seattle Seahawks are unlikely to use the franchise tag on Sheldon Richardson this offseason.

The Seahawks traded for Richardson in September.

The tag would cost the Seahawks approximately $14 million.

Richardson was solid against the run and fit in well with Seattle's scheme.

"I definitely expect to be back here," Richardson said in January. "They haven't threw out a number or nothing but they said they wanted me back so that's a plus in my book."

The Seahawks haven't used the tag since 2010.

Richard Sherman expects to return to the Seattle Seahawks next season.

Sherman is coming off surgery to repair a torn Achilles and is entering the final season of his contract.

Sherman is acting his own agent before becoming a free agent in 2019.

"Not in my mind," Sherman said Thursday when asked if he questions whether he'll be with Seattle in 2018. "We're going to try to get everything back on track, get healthy and try to get back after it. Hopefully everybody heals up the way they're supposed to. I hope Kam [Chancellor] can play and it works out however it needs to for him. But obviously, [the roster is] going to look different either way."

Sherman had Achilles surgery shortly after the injury and has an upcoming cleanup procedure to remove bone spurs on the same part of his other foot.
