Singletary To Use Belichick Model For Coaching Career

Jun 18, 2014 9:00 AM

Mike Singletary intends to use the Bill Belichick/Pete Carroll model for his own career. Singletary has joined the Vikings a their linebackers coach. "There are a number of coaches in the league that I consider good coaches, hall-of-fame coaches, that have been fired. And if that's the case, then for me, I can sit back and listen to my critics and say that I'm not going to be a good head coach. No, what I'm going to do is get right back to the drawing board and look at the things that I have to get better at, thank god for the experience that I had - loved the 49ers, loved the 49ers players, the fans and organization. It just didn't work out. So that's on me to take a step back and be thankful for the opportunity and experience and just dive right into it and take it to the next level the next time."
