Harbaugh Feels No Regret Over Choosing 49ers

Aug 12, 2014 9:43 AM

It has been six weeks since Jim Harbaugh accepted the head coaching position of the 49ers, concluding a whirlwind courtship from the Dolphins, Broncos, Michigan and Stanford. Harbaugh was asked if he looks back on it now and reflects on how crazy the process was. "Yeah, it was? it was amazing," said Harbaugh. "It was a fact-finding mission. I wanted to make a good decision. "And I guess just to sum it up, about two months removed here and I haven?t had any remorse about the decision or buyer?s remorse. I can look back on my life and say that hasn?t always been the case?a decision you make or an investment you make or something you do, you look back a week or two later, you go, ?oooh, why?d I do that??"

Harbaugh, Roman To Call Plays Together

Oct 15, 2014 11:44 PM

Greg Roman, San Francisco's new offensive coordinator, spoke to the media for the first time on Wednesday. Roman was asked what the team's current strengths are offensively. ?Well, I think there?s a lot of really good talent and I think there?s a lot of good, young talent that should be, that we look very forward to getting our hands on when things get resolved or whatnot; and developing and applying," said Roman. "One of the things we?ll look at is just guys? strengths and weaknesses and you really can?t do that until you get to work with them, coach them, teach them, work with them, get their feedback, etcetera. But I think across the board there is a lot of young talent on this offense. I don?t know if it?s any one specific thing though.? Roman confirmed that Jim Harbaugh will call plays with him.

Gore To Be Cleared Feb. 28th

Oct 15, 2014 11:51 PM

Frank Gore is completely healed from a season-ending fracture of his right hip he sustained Nov. 29 against the Arizona Cardinals, he told Comcast SportsNet on Wednesday. Gore's rehab has consisted of pool workouts, along with upper- and lower-body weight work. He said the 49ers' medical staff has taken a cautious approach, clearing him to begin running on Feb. 28. "I will be better," Gore said. "I will take it one day at a time. I'm just happy to say that my injury healed perfectly. And right now I'm trying to get some strength, and in another week start running."
