Dallas Goedert Out Indefinitely With Small Fracture In Ankle

Sep 29, 2020 1:04 PM

Dallas Goedert has a small fracture in his ankle, a league source confirmed.

Goedert is out indefinitely.

Goedert entered Week 3 as the team leader in targets, catches, receiving yards and yards after the catch.

"Losing a guy like Dallas that has a huge role in protections [and the] run game, but he's a playmaker with the ball in his hands and down the field. He's a big part of our game plan every week, and so losing him, we obviously had to make some adjustments on the fly, [which] makes it tough," Doug Pederson said.

Eagles Won't Bench Carson Wentz In Favor Of Jalen Hurts

Sep 28, 2020 10:36 AM

Doug Pederson is not considering making a quarterback change as Carson Wentz continues to struggle and the Philadelphia Eagles are now 0-2-1.

Some fans have called for the Eagles to start second round pick Jalen Hurts in place of Wentz.

"No. You don't go there. That's a knee-jerk reaction," Pederson told 94.1 WIP on Monday when asked what it would take to look at options at QB outside Wentz. "Carson's our quarterback. We're going to get it fixed. He is going to get it fixed."

Pederson suggested benching Wentz would be giving in to the "aura" in the city right now as opposed to acting on the team's beliefs.

Sep 14, 2020 8:16 PM

Zach Ertz got into a yelling match with Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman after a practice last week, according to a NFL Network report.

Ertz is unhappy with his current contract. He was reportedly lowballed by the Eagles in negotiations.

In a recent Zoom call with reporters, Ertz said he’d given the Eagles his all, would continue to do so and wanted to play his entire career with the organization but wondered if the feeling was mutual.

Ertz got into "a very heated discussion" with Roseman witnessed by several players, which might make Ertz’s long-term future in Philadelphia "even more up in the air."

Carson Wentz: We've Got To Be Better, It Starts With Me

Sep 14, 2020 9:27 AM

The Philadelphia Eagles raced out to a 17-0 lead over the Washington Football Team before losing 27-17 on Sunday afternoon.

Carson Wentz was sacked eight times, threw two interceptions and lost a fumble.

"I put our defense in a bad spot on a couple of occasions," Wentz said. "We definitely lost some momentum, we didn’t make the plays we needed to make and I’ve got to be better. It starts with me. I’ve got to protect the ball and lead these guys better, and I’ll own that."

Wentz was playing behind a makeshift offense line with Brandon Brooks lost for the season and Lane Johnson sidelined as well.

Jason Peters Will Move Back To LT For Eagles

Sep 8, 2020 9:45 AM

Jason Peters is back to left tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Doug Pederson announced on Monday that Peters will move back to LT after spending all of training camp at right guard.

"Jason Peters came into my office this morning and he has decided to slide over to left tackle," Pederson said. "This is the unselfishness. This is who he is. When we talk specifically about Jason Peters, this is who he is. He sacrifices his body for the football team. He did an outstanding job for us at right guard, it was a valuable experience for him to play over there.

"As he looks at not only where we are, but where he is -- he came in today and he was excited to move to left tackle. I'm thrilled to death."

The Eagles signed Peters in July to replace the injured Brandon Brooks at RG, but things changed when Andre Dillard was lost for the season as well. The club initially said Peters would remain at guard. He reportedly wanted a raise to return to tackle.
