Jamal Adams: Jets GM 'Went Behind My Back'

Oct 30, 2019 10:52 AM

The New York Jets may have a potential rift building between Jamal Adams and general manager Joe Douglas.

Douglas didn't end up making any trades before Tuesday afternoon's deadline.

Adams attacked the general manager on Twitter, saying he told Douglas last week that he wanted to remain with the Jets but he "went behind my back and shopped me around to teams, even after I asked him to keep me here! Crazy business."

According to reports, the Jets talked with multiple teams about the safety.

Jets Interested In Trading Le'Veon Bell

Oct 29, 2019 3:06 PM

The New York Jets have interest in trading Le'Veon Bell ahead of the NFL's trade deadline.

Adam Gase wasn't interested in signing Bell this past offseason.

Bell signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal with $27 million guaranteed at signing.

Bell, who has a $8.97 million cap charge this year, will count $15.5 million against the 2021 cap (with $13.5 million in cash earnings).

Jets Still Upset With Jaguars Running Up Score Last Season

Oct 25, 2019 9:04 AM

The New York Jets still remember the Jacksonville Jaguars running up the score last season when the two teams played.

"Simply put, it was disrespectful as hell," linebacker Brandon Copeland said.

The Jets believe Doug Marrone showed no class by running up the score in the final two minutes of a 31-12 victory. Instead of taking a knee, the Jaguars ran three times inside the Jets' 9-yard line and scored. They even attempted a 2-point conversion, which failed.

"I thought it was pretty disrespectful," Leonard Williams said. "The game was already won. There was only a minute-and-a-half left to go. Not only did they keep running the ball to try to score again, they also went for two points, which was even more over the top.

"I felt it was even putting their own players at risk for getting injured even though the game was already over," Williams continued. "You know what I mean? I think it's a little disrespectful."
