Aaron Rodgers: Jets Need To Flush The B.S. To Win Next Season

Jan 8, 2024 6:10 PM

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, trying to create a winning culture for 2024, offered a few words advice for the organization.

"Flush the bulls---," he said Monday.

Rodgers, responding to a question about what can be learned from the 7-10 season, said the Jets need to eliminate distractions. The four-time MVP, who created headlines throughout the year with his weekly TV appearances on "The Pat McAfee Show" -- most recently last week with controversial remarks about talk show host Jimmy Kimmel -- said the organization must maintain a singular focus to shed its losing ways.

Aaron Rodgers-Jimmy Kimmel Fight Causing Issues For ESPN

Jan 4, 2024 9:22 AM

Aaron Rodgers's suggestion that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is on the Jeffrey Epstein client list has opened a "big can of worms" for ESPN, according to a report.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Pat McAfee apologized for the show's role in Rodgers's remarks about Kimmel. Rodgers has remained silent.

Apart from the potential liability Rodgers has incurred by linking Kimmel to Epstein, Rodgers's remarks could prompt Disney to tell ESPN to ban Rodgers from McAfee's show.

"Rodgers has a deal with McAfee's show that would be tough to void," a source said. "Both Rodgers and McAfee don't care about repercussions."

Jan 2, 2024 4:09 PM

Dalvin Cook's disappointing season with the New York Jets came to a premature end on Tuesday, as the four-time Pro Bowl running back was waived with one game remaining, according to his agency.

The move was mutually agreed upon, according to a source, and will allow Cook to catch on with a playoff team. He also restructured his contract to forfeit remaining guarantees, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
