Tebow Likely To End Up With Jaguars

Oct 31, 2014 2:16 PM

Tim Tebow is virtually certain to begin the 2013 season on the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to sources.

Tebow will be traded or released by the New York Jets in the offseason.

The situation for the Jaguars has changed since Tebow was traded by the Broncos to the Jets last offseason.

Jaguars' owner Shad Khan wanted Tebow, but the franchise was still committed to 2011 first round pick Blaine Gabbert.

The Jaguars will have an open competition for the quarterback job heading into 2013.

The Jaguars offered a fourth-round pick to Denver in March and proposed to pay $3 million to the Broncos to compensate for money that had been advanced to Tebow.

The Broncos allowed Tebow to choose between the Jets and Broncos.

Oct 6, 2014 7:52 AM

The New York Jets will explore a trade of Mark Sanchez and also part ways with Tim Tebow.

Trading Sanchez will prove difficult due to his $8.25 million contract in 2013.

Responding to the trade speculation, Sanchez's agent and older brother, Nick Sanchez, said Wednesday night: "Mark is a Jet and he's going to support the Jets any way he can through the remainder of season."

"I haven't asked for a trade yet," said Tebow.
