The Minnesota Vikings will sign Tajae Sharpe to a one-year deal, according to a source.

Sharpe is set to earn $1 million on his contract and up to $1.5 million including incentives.

The wide receiver was a fifth round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2016.

A tweet from Stefon Diggs in response to the Minnesota Vikings extending Kirk Cousins actually did initiate trade talks with several teams.

“It’s time for a new beginning,” wrote Diggs.

The Vikings had made Diggs off-limits ahead of the trade deadline.

The Buffalo Bills had already done their homework on Diggs as they were aggressive in their pursuit of him at the deadline. 

The Vikings mentioned Percy Harvin as a model for the trade. In 2013, the Vikings received a first, third and seventh round pick from the Seattle Seahawks for Harvin.

The Buffalo Bills have acquired Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings, sources tell Jay Glazer.

According to Adam Schefter, the Bills will trade a first round pick, a fifth round pick, sixth round pick and a 2021 fourth round pick to the Vikings.

The future of Diggs with the Vikings became an immediate question once they signed Kirk Cousins to an extension. 

The Bills had interest in trading for Antonio Brown last offseason.

Kirk Cousins has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings worth $66 million.

Cousins was heading into the final season of a three-year, fully guaranteed $84 millions contract he signed with the Vikings in 2018.

Counting next year's salary from the old deal, Cousins has a $96 million deal with $61 million guaranteed at signing.

Cousins had been linked with the San Francisco 49ers had he become a free agent in 2021.

Stefon Diggs, who was the subject of trade rumors last season, posted a video on social media of himself working out in an Arizona Cardinals shirt.

Rick Spielman tried to dispel rumors that the Minnesota Vikings could trade the receiver at the NFL Combine.

Diggs is under contract with the Vikings through the 2023 season.
