The Minnesota Vikings have the No. 22 and 25 picks in Thursday's NFL Draft and are open to offers for both selections.

"I've had calls already, opportunities of people trying to trade up, and I've also had teams that are in front of us that wanted to trade back," Rick Spielman said.

"I think it all depends how the draft board unfolds on Thursday. For example, I would say if we stay at 22, and we have maybe seven or eight names still up there, to move back from 25 to gain another pick and still get the same quality of player. An example: Last year, we moved back three times in the third round and still had [Alexander] Mattison targeted and were able to still get him. A lot of that manipulation on the draft board depends on what's up there, how you have the draft board stacked and how far are you willing to go back without risk of losing a particular player."

Minnesota acquired the 22nd overall pick from the Buffalo Bills in the Stefon Diggs trade.

The Cleveland Browns are denying rumors they could trade Odell Beckham, Jr. this offseason.

Chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta confirmed Cleveland's unwillingness to deal Beckham while speaking to reporters on Thursday.

A report surfaced on Wednesday that the Browns were discussing a possible deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

"It's frustrating a little bit," DePodesta said of the speculation. "I think it's pretty clear we're trying to build at this point. We're really building around a core of players that we think have a chance to be a championship-caliber core, and the idea that we would take away from that core at this moment just doesn't make a whole lot of sense and really [is] not something we're exploring at all."

The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly in discussions with the Cleveland Browns on a trade for Odell Beckham, Jr.

The Vikings would send a second- and fifth-round pick to the Browns for the receiver.

Beckham carries a $14 million base salary, which might be an issue for Minnesota and sheds some doubt on the rumor.

Kirk Cousins remains hopeful that the NFL will play as scheduled this fall amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback believes there are "creative and unique ways" to make certain that games take place.

That could mean playing games with no fans in the stands.

"Honestly, we practice every day in an empty grass area and pump in fake crowd noise for away games," Cousins said. "But more often than not, you're used to it. OTA practices don't have a lot of pomp and circumstance to them. So honestly, to go out and just play the game would kind of be refreshing, a breath of fresh air, to just let us know that we don't have to have all the smoke and the fire. We can just play football. So as long as we're playing the game, I won't have a lot of complaints, and hopefully if it's still not returned to normal, we can find a way to make it work."

Tarvaris Jackson died in a car cash on Sunday evening at the age of 36.

Jackson was the Tennessee State quarterbacks coach in 2019.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Jackson was involved in a single-vehicle crash at 8:50 p.m. Sunday; the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and then overturned.

Jackson played in the NFL for 10 years with the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills.
