Jared Goff: It Would Be Good To Make It An L.A. Three-Peat

Oct 29, 2020 8:40 AM

Excited by the recent title wins by the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers, Jared Goff would love to see the Rams make it three-straight championships for the city.

"It's something that's really exciting for the city right now," Goff said. "It would be good to make it a little three-peat with us involved. It's definitely something we're conscious of."

The Rams are 5-2 heading into Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Robert Woods Wants Rams 'To Get It Done In The Air'

Oct 22, 2020 9:52 AM

The Los Angeles Rams are throwing the ball less than in Sean McVay's first three seasons as head coach.

Robert Woods, who signed a contract extension in the offseason, is being targeted by Jared Goff less often than in any other season with the team.

The receiver has 27 catches on 41 targets.

"Whatever it takes to win," Woods said. "I obviously want the ball in my hands, to find ways to make plays, to get it done in the air. ... That's just how it's been working out so far. I'm just trying to keep it going, and hope the ball finds me the rest of the season."

Rams DC Likens Jalen Ramsey To LeBron James

Oct 16, 2020 8:57 AM

In his first year as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, Brandon Staley has begun to view Jalen Ramsey as much more than a cornerback.

"Jalen Ramsey is a natural player at star," Staley said. "I think that anybody that knows his game going back from when he was in high school knows that this is what he's capable of doing. I see him like a LeBron James is used on the basketball court, where he's a position-less player. He plays some point guard, he plays some three, he plays some four, he guards fives and he's what his team needs to be in that particular game in order for them to be successful."

Staley said the "star" position requires far more of Ramsey than is required of a cornerback.

"It's a position that kind of combines several different skillsets," Staley said. "You're a little bit of a corner, you're a little bit of a safety, a little bit of a linebacker — inside linebacker and outside linebacker because you're kind of a rusher too."

Sean McVay Is Now Relying More On His Coordinators

Oct 14, 2020 8:56 AM

Sean McVay has tried to be less of a micromanager with the Los Angeles Rams this season.

The Rams hired new coordinators this past offseason and McVay has been able to look more at the big picture by relying on them to handle more of the game-planning.

"What I wanted to try to do is just be more present with our team," McVay said. "Be around defense, special teams and the offense a little bit more. Be around the staff members a little bit more."

The Rams' offense is run by Kevin O'Connell and defense by Brandon Staley.

"Adding those guys has been huge in terms of being able to just kind of step back," McVay said. "That's definitely something that I'm trying to do."
