Oct 29, 2018 10:21 AM

Todd Gurley broke free and was headed for the end zone in the final minute of Sunday's game between the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers when he slowed and allowed himself to be tackled.

The move allowed the Rams to run out the clock in a 29-27 win.

"Man, forget fantasy and forget Vegas," Gurley said after the game. "We got the win, so that's all that matters."

The Rams entered the game as 7.5-point favorites.

Players Implored Sean McVay To Go For It On Fourth Down

Oct 8, 2018 8:20 AM

Sean McVay listened to his players on Sunday afternoon when they implored him to go for it on fourth down late against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Los Angeles Rams faced third-and-1 from their 42-yard line with 1 minute, 52 seconds left and a 33-31 lead, but Todd Gurley was only able to gain inches. The offense came off the field and Pete Carroll called a timeout to save time for Seattle.

"We had a lot of time to decide and [McVay] was kind of going back and forth," Jared Goff said. "I was off, I thought we were punting. I went back on the field just to talk the official about something, and as I'm turning around the offense was running back on and I go, 'All right, I guess we're going for it.'"

Right tackle Rob Havenstein said: "We wanted to go for it. ... We just kind of started moseying on back out to the field like, 'All right, let's do this, we're going to go ahead and get this.'"

Goff dove over center to get the first down and ensure the victory.
