Sep 23, 2014 6:30 AM

News of Tony Romo's new six-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys isn't sitting well with Donovan McNabb.

McNabb was an opponent of Romo's for several seasons as a member of the Eagles.

Romo's deal includes $108 million and a reportedly $55 million in guarantees.

"Wow really, with one playoff win," McNabb wrote on Twitter. "You got to be kidding me."

Romo Gets Seven-Year Deal, More Guaranteed Than Flacco

Sep 23, 2014 6:34 AM

The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement on a seven-year contract with Tony Romo that clears up cap space and locks up their quarterback.

The six-year extension is worth $108 million, according to league sources.

Romo's salary cap number was set to be $16.8 million in the final year of his current deal.

He receives more guaranteed money than in the six-year, $120.6 million contract that Joe Flacco recently signed with Baltimore Ravens, sources said.

Romo will receive $55 million guaranteed from the Cowboys, $3 million more than what Flacco got from the Ravens.

Cowboys Can't Place Tag On Romo In 2014

Sep 23, 2014 6:34 AM

Tony Romo's contract with the Dallas Cowboys was structured in a way that prevents the team from applying their franchise tag in 2014.

That explains why the Cowboys are so interested in extending the quarterback's contract.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Romo’s contract extends beyond 2013 by three years. Thus, Romo will become a free agent in 2014 not by the expiration of the deal, but by the voiding of the final three years.

Dez Bryant Wants To Be First 2,000-Yard Receiver

Jun 4, 2014 2:10 AM

Dez Bryant is confident that he could become the NFL's first 2,000-yard receiver.

Bryant caught 92 passes for 1,382 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Dallas Cowboys in 2012. He had 50 catches for 879 yards and 10 touchdowns in the final eight games.

"That's still scratching the surface," Bryant said. "It's only going to get better, to be honest. I still have a lot to give. I feel like nobody's seen anything. Nothing.

"I feel like it can be a lot more than that. That's just being honest. I honestly feel like [2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns] can potentially happen."
