Cowboys To Take 'Conservative' Approach Bringing Back Ware

Jul 6, 2014 11:06 AM

The Dallas Cowboys will be "conservative" in bringing back DeMarcus Ware back from his strained quadriceps.

Ware has refused to rule himself out of Sunday's game agains the Philadelphia Eagles.

“Nothing about him physically would surprise me,” Jerry Jones said Friday on KRLD-FM. “We hope that if we are conservative -- and he’d be the first to tell you if this were the Super Bowl, he’d be playing in it unquestionably, or if this were frankly a key game at the end of the year -- but he and we want to look at the bigger picture, which is the season. So we probably are being and will be conservative there.

“But nothing surprises me. He’s Superman.”

Dez Bryant: Cowboys Have Established 'Explosive' Identity

Jun 14, 2014 3:12 AM

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 5, but they managed to stay in the game and even had a fourth quarter lead.

Tony Romo threw for 506 yards with 14.1 yards per attempt.

“You certainly want to play with that same style,” Jason Garrett said. “Statistically, I don’t know if we’ll replicate that. It hasn’t been done very much in the history of the franchise. So you just try to play with that same attacking, aggressive style.”

“There’s no other way,” Dez Bryant said. “I think he’s exactly right. There’s no other way to put it. We are explosive. We are, and that’s our identity, an explosive offense. I think we showed that.”
