Joe Linta, the agent for Joe Flacco, spent Sunday negotiating a contract extension with the Ravens.
After his meeting with Baltimore general manager Ozzie Newsome and vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty, Linta said that a date by which the extension must be completed has not been set.
Flacco is set to earn a $6.76 million base salary in the final year of his rookie contract.

Flacco Will Honor Contract During Extension Talks
Joe Flacco is entering the final year of his contract, but he isn't letting his uncertain future distract him.
Discussions on a new deal for the quarterback are ongoing between agent Joe Linta and Ravens vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty.
"All the conversations have been productive," Linta said.
"We've gone back-and-forth on proposals. And the biggest thing I can tell you is that Joe's so focused on winning that all of this isn't something he's paying a lot of attention to, he's got such a chip on his shoulder about winning now. The most telling quote from Joe I can give you is that he told me, 'I've got a contract, and I'm gonna honor it. He's part of a rare breed in this day and age."
Ravens Sign Ricky Brown, Pass On Steinbach
The Ravens have signed linebacker Ricky Brown.
Brown was one of several players Baltimore looked at, including former Browns guard Eric Steinbach.
Steinbach is expected to make more free-agent visits.
Reed Will Report To Ravens On Time
Ed Reed will forgo a holdout and report on time to Ravens training camp, according to coach John Harbaugh.
Harbaugh said he had a "great talk" with the veteran safety, who has spent the spring and summer dropping cryptic hints about his future plans.
Reed is looking for a contract extension, but the Ravens are content to have him play out his current contract.
Steinbach Will Reportedly Work Out For Ravens
The Ravens are giving Eric Steinbach a chance to make their roster, according to a report.
CBS Sports and the Baltimore Sun report that Steinbach will work out for Baltimore on Tuesday.
Other AFC teams reportedly are interested as well.
Webb: Ravens Have Best Secondary
Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb proclaimed that Baltimore's secondary was the best in the NFL earlier this offseason and he isn't backing down.
"I meant what I said," Webb said.
"I really do believe we have those guys with Jimmy (Smith) and Cary (Williams) on the outside and me on the inside. With those guys, it's really hard to believe we're not the best. I see their skills every day. With Bernard (Pollard) and Ed Reed in the back, show me another group who is better."
The numbers tend to support Webb's assessment. The Ravens ranked fourth in passing yards allowed per game and were third in passing yards allowed per play last season.
Ed Reed Says He's Playing This Season
Ed Reed told the crowd at his own golf outing on Wednesday that he will be in the Ravens secondary this season.
He said that taking care of his family -- the safety is set to make $7.2 million this season -- and mentoring young teammates helped convince him to change course.
Ravens Optimistic Flacco Deal Will Get Done
The Ravens are optimistic they can reach a contract extension with Joe Flacco by the time training camp opens next week, according to sources.
A first-round pick in 2008, Flacco has one year left on his rookie deal, but has said throughout the offseason that he is not concerned about his contract.

The Ravens have agreed to a five-year, $40 million deal with Ray Rice, according to sources.
The deal will pay the running back $17 million in the first year and $25 million in the first two years.
Baltimore had placed their franchise tag on Rice in March and the sides had until Monday afternoon to reach an agreement.
