The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fear that Ryan Jensen suffered a season-ending knee injury during Thursday's training camp practice, according to sources.

The Pro Bowl center was carted off the field with the injury.

Jimmy Garoppolo passed his physical with the San Francisco 49ers Tuesday and thus won't be placed on the active/physically unable to perform list, according to a report.

That voids Garoppolo's $7.5 million injury guarantee, leaving no guaranteed money on his contract unless he's on the 49ers' roster Week 1.  

Garoppolo underwent surgery on his right shoulder on March 8 and only recently started throwing again. 

Chris Carson plans to retire after five NFL seasons because of a neck injury, a source has confirmed.

The Seattle Seahawks have released Carson with a failed physical designation.

"Ever since the first time I saw Chris on film, I loved his style, and I was thrilled when we were able to get him when we did," Pete Carroll said. "To see him grow and become such an impacting part of our program with such a great style and all of that, it was a thrill to watch. We'll miss him and everything he brought to our program."

The Seahawks have been preparing to proceed without Carson, re-signing Rashaad Penny in March before drafting Kenneth Walker III in the second round.

Joe Burrow will undergo an appendectomy at some point over the next 48 hours.

Cincinnati is coming off its first AFC championship and Super Bowl appearance in 33 seasons. 

Burrow completed 70.4% of his passes for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions last season.

Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be fully cleared by mid-August.

Garoppolo met recently with Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who performed Garappolo's surgery, and his shoulder is progressing well. 

The quarterback was injured during the San Francisco 49ers' NFC Divisional Round win over the Dallas Cowboys.

It was reported last week that Garoppolo was still expected to be traded by the end of July. 

The New Orleans Saints are optimistic Michael Thomas will be medically cleared at some point early in training camp.

The wide receiver has missed 26 regular-season games over the last two seasons due to an ankle injury.

Thomas didn't participate in minicamp earlier this summer, but he reportedly was in the building.

With training camp gearing up in the coming weeks, the trade market for Jimmy Garoppolo is likely to heat up.

The quarterback's agent, Don Yee, says his shoulder rehabilitation is going well.

"He's progressing well and on schedule," Yee said. "We're optimistic about the upcoming season. Over the weekend, a report came out that asserted that I had spoken to a media member about his future, but the report was false."

The report being referenced suggested the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a trade destination for Garoppolo.
