Joe Burrow Suffered Knee Sprain, Won't Require Surgery

Feb 16, 2022 8:47 AM

Joe Burrow suffered a knee injury in the second half of Super Bowl LVI, but the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback won't require surgery.

With 11:55 left in the fourth quarter, Burrow was sacked by Von Miller. His facial expression was caught by television cameras and it indicated that he was in serious pain as he clutched his right knee.

He limped off the field under his own power and finished the game.

Odell Beckham Tears ACL In Left Knee For Second Time In 16 Months

Feb 16, 2022 8:48 AM

Odell Beckham Jr. is believed to have suffered a torn ACL in his left knee for the second time in 16 months.

Beckham had made a significant first-half impact in the Rams' 23-20 win, catching passes of 35 and 17 yards, including the game's first touchdown, on three targets.

"There was a moment I was in the back room and they told me I was done, I couldn't play. And I had to come back out there and be a part of this because it's so much bigger than myself," Beckham said, via CBS Sports. "And these boys pulled through and made it happen."

Jalen Hurts Having Left Ankle Surgery

Feb 2, 2022 12:38 PM

Jalen Hurts is having surgery on his left ankle Wednesday, according to sources.

The Philadelphia Eagles expect Hurts to recover in time for the team's offseason training program in April.

Hurts suffered a high-ankle sprain against the New York Giants on November 28. He missed Philadelphia's next game and returned to the field following the team's bye.

"Clearly, I've been battling little issues with my ankle," the quarterback said following the season. "For the last part of the season whenever I came back after the injury, our offense kind of changed a bit. I wasn't running as much. I wasn't doing those things as much simply because I wasn't able to get freaky like usual."
