Apr 9, 2020 8:48 AM

While Jadeveon Clowney has reportedly lowered his asking price as a free agent, he's still unlikely to return to the Seattle Seahawks.

Chances are reportedly "slim to none" that Clowney re-signs with the Seahawks.

The defender was seeking $20 million annually before lowering his demand to around $17-18 million per year.

Jadeveon Clowney Drops Asking Price Below $20M Per Year

Apr 1, 2020 9:25 PM

Jadeveon Clowney has dropped his free agency asking price by at least $2 million after seeking $20 million per season initially. Clowney is now seeking closer to $17 million to $18 million per season.

The Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans remain interested in signing Clowney.

"There's a lot of business that has to be done throughout the course of the league year. We are working through a few guys at the end of free agency," Tennessee general manager Jon Robinson said. "I would say we are still working through it and looking at guys that are still available. I don't know that we are done, but I don't know that there will be a flurry of moves here. We have touched base with Clowney's representation, and we're kind of seeing and navigate where that one might be."

Clowney was traded from the Houston Texans to the Seahawks before the start of the 2019 season.
