Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed upon an extension through the 2019 season.
Carroll is the NFL's oldest coach at the age of 64.
The Seahawks recently also signed general manager John Schneider to an extension. Both Carroll and Schneider were set to have their contracts expire in the 2017 offseason.
The Seahawks have won 60 regular season games over the past six seasons.
The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a contract extension with John Schneider.
The general manager's new deal is for five years and is expected to make Schneider among the highest-paid executives in the NFL.
Schneider's contract was set to expire at the end of 2016.
Michael Bennett is encouraging the Seattle Seahawks to either improve his contract or get rid of him.
"It is never-ending," Bennett said. "Especially when people are getting new contracts every day. You sit there and you're like, 'Damn, really?' I'm just to the point where it's kind of like, if you don't think I'm valuable, then just get rid of me."
Bennett has two seasons left on his current deal. Bennett was also unhappy last offseason with his contract.
"We're gonna make an effort. An effort so he remains a Seahawk," Pete Carroll said.
Thomas Rawls expects to be fully ready for the start of the Seattle Seahawks training camp.
Rawls suffered a fractured ankle and ligament damage during a Dec. 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Rawls did not participate in any of the Seahawks' spring practices.
"Rehab is going phenomenal," Rawls said before Richard Sherman's annual charity softball game. "Running, cutting, working hard, getting back out there. I'm looking forward to being out there the first week. Rehab has been going phenomenal this whole offseason. I don't have a break because I've gotta work 10 times harder. So I'm excited to come back and fill that void in that backfield."
