Buffalo GM Buddy Nix defended the team's approach for not upgrading the quarterback position.
?Here?s the way we looked at it,? said Nix. ?We?ve got guys physically that can do anything as well as anybody in the draft physically. Throw the ball well, make all the throws, mobile, can move around and are smart. We?ve got guys like that. Now obviously they?ve been kind of inconsistent and up and down, but there are a lot of reasons for that.?

Bills Rookie Makes Chinese History
Bills rookie offensive tackle Ed Wang is the first full-blooded Chinese descendant in NFL history.
Wang was born and grew up in Northern Virginia, but his parents, George and Nancy, are both native to China.
"It's really important to me," he told the Buffalo News. "It means a lot to me that I was able to be the first one to do it, so I took a lot of pride in that."
Kailee Wong, former Vikings linebacker, and Pat Chung, a safety drafted last year by the Patriots, are also of some Chinese descent.
Buffalo took Wang in the fifth round.
Wilson: Broncos 'Panicked' In Trading Up For Tebow
Bills owner Ralph Wilson says the Broncos "panicked" on Thursday night when they traded back up to take Tim Tebow.
Wilson denied rumors that Buffalo was looking to trade back up into the later half of the first round to take Tebow.
Denver swung a deal with Baltimore to take Tebow at No. 25, giving up second-, third- and fourth-round picks.
"Denver panicked," Wilson said. "He's a good player but we had no interest in taking Tebow. We were not moving up to take Tebow."
Bills Still Want To Keep Lynch
The Bills drafted running back C.J. Spiller on Thursday night, but claim they are still committed to Marshawn Lynch.
Rumors soared once Buffalo took Spiller, but general manager Buddy Nix held his ground.
"Nothing," Nix said of Lynch. "Doesn't change a thing. He's still ours. We intend for him to be here."
Bills, Browns In Contact With Rams For No. 33
Both the Bills and Browns have contacted the Rams about trading for the No. 33 pick, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Jimmy Clausen and Colt McCoy are in play for the two teams.
Source: Bills Will Have QB By End Of 1st Round
The Buffalo Bills will have a new quarterback by the end of the first round, a high ranking official told Michael Lombardi.
Buffalo could conceivably draft Jimmy Claussen with their own pick, or move into the later part of the first round to select someone like Colt McCoy.
Bills Want Tackle, Like Tebow
Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post writes that the Bills are expected to take an offensive tackle with their first-round pick.
Buffalo has the ninth overall selection.
"I'm told Buffalo will go offensive tackle with its first pick," Lombardi writes, "and has interest in Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. The Bills might have to move to the bottom of the first to be in position to get him."
Bills Expect To Have Lynch In 2010
Bills general manager Buddy Nix has no plans to trade running back Marshawn Lynch.
"Our intention is for Marshawn to be here," Nix said. "He's under contract. We think he's a good back. We need two backs, and our intention is for him to be here. All this trade talk, it's not coming from us."
Asked if Lynch had requested a trade, the general manager said it's not up to the player to decide if he'll be dealt.
"He's under contract. We're going to do what's best for the Bills," Nix said.
Seattle Considers Marshawn Lynch Deal
The Seahawks have had internal discussions about possibly making a play for Bills running back Marshawn Lynch, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Buffalo hasn't been actively shopping Lynch, but sources claim that the Bills would definitely listen to offers.
The Bills are believed to want a second-round pick for Lynch. The Seahawks have the 28th pick in that round (60th overall).
Bills May Not Be Interested In Clausen
Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post writes that the Bills may not be interested in Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen.
Instead, Buffalo may prefer a more athletic quarterback.
"In fact, someone told me that Chan Gailey, while he was offensive coordinator in Miami, was not in favor of Drew Brees as a potential pick because he had Ray Lucas on the roster," Lombardi wrote.
"Keep in mind, Gailey has always loved athletic players as evidenced by his style of recruiting while head coach at Georgia Tech."
Schouman To Return To Bills
Derek Schouman started last season as Buffalo's starting tight end.
