Jauron Wants To Get Owens More Involved

Sep 15, 2014 6:14 AM

Bills coach Dick Jauron wants to get receiver Terrell Owens more involved in the team's offense. Owens didn't have a reception in Buffalo's loss to New Orleans on Sunday. "We'll take more shots," Jauron said Monday. "We definitely have to get him more involved in the game no matter what the defense does." The Bills have targeted Owens just 13 times through the season's first three games.

Owens Attacks Media Once Again

Nov 2, 2014 12:36 AM

Bills receiver Terrell Owens claims that the media tried to force him to say something controversial following Sunday's loss to the Saints. "It really just shows you the angle that the media has taken all these years," Owens said on Sporting News Radio's Two Live Stews. "Over the years I've always kind of spoken openly about whatever is being asked with my answers, so the last four or five years I've kind of noticed that and tried taking some steps to prevent some of those things from happening. "But [Sunday] as you saw, it was obviously ... [the media] took some more than initiative to try to get me to kind of go down the wrong path. I know the last two teams that I've been on, I felt like I left those teams prematurely due to media interviews that I've done and things kind of taken out of context and they created sort of a media whirlwind in the locker room and things kind of went downhill from there. I'm just trying to do the best job I can do as far as answering the questions and trying to be a better teammate and not try to throw people under the bus." Sunday marked the first postgame interview that Owens conducted this season.

Sep 15, 2014 6:14 AM

Terrell Owens has been targeted just 13 times in his first three games with the Buffalo Bills. Owens has five catches for 98 yards so far. The Buffalo News points out that Owens would often be targeted more than 13 times in a single game during his time with the 49ers, Eagles and Cowboys. "Just going with the plays that are called," Owens said repeatedly to questions about his lack of involvement in the offense. "Whether I like them or don't, I'm just going with the plays that are called."

Owens Says He's 'Misunderstood'

Sep 15, 2014 6:14 AM

Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens says that he has been misunderstood in each of his three previous NFL stops. "Yeah, that is always going to be a knock," Owens told the USA Today. "And I think it's very unfortunate. Since leaving Philadelphia, I kind of felt like I left those two teams prematurely. Only because of how the media spins, you know, they misinterpreted something I said." Owens insists that those who know him, know what kind of person he truly is. "The people who really know me ... know my heart," he says. "They know I didn't mean anything. I didn't say anything intentionally. It wasn't malicious. And when people try to make me out to be the bad guy, and say something, and make me, to the public, say something that I didn't mean, then that's when I have to try to explain myself."

Buffalo Safety Whitner's Home Robbed

Sep 21, 2014 4:28 AM

Bills safety Donte Whitner had $400,000 worth of jewelry stolen from his home during a robbery this weekend. "It's mind-boggling," said the player's spokeswoman Patrice Horton. "He's safe, but he's on high alert. He doesn't know who did this." The theft was reported at about 10 p.m., a little over two hours after the Bills won their home-opener, 33-20. "At this point we're calling it a larceny," Detective Lt. Kevin Trask said. "We can't even call it a burglary because we don't know the specifics. This might be a person who was invited into the home."

That decision, when it comes to it, I want to make it a hard decision. That's what my motivation is right now. Make it a tough decision for them." Thomas Fined $5,000 For Hit On Edwards

Feb 11, 2014 6:58 PM

Patriots linebacker Adalius Thomas has been fined $5,000 for his fourth-quarter hit on Bills quarterback Trent Edwards Monday. Thomas received a roughing-the-passer penalty on the play. The NFL fined Thomas for unnecessarily slamming Edwards to the ground after the whistle. "I don't know, either you got to have a fast whistle or the guy is going to get taken to the ground," Thomas told the Boston Globe, which reported that he plans to appeal the fine. "I didn't think I slammed him to the ground, nothing like that. Right before I got ready to swing him down or whatever, or tackle him, my feet are off the ground and I'm on his back kind of. You don't really know what to do. You're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Do you let the guy go and let him throw the ball?"

McKelvin Willing To Forgive Vandals

Oct 8, 2014 6:46 AM

Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin is not seeking any arrests following an incident on Monday when his lawn was vandalized. Someone painted an obscenity and the score of Buffalo's loss to the Patriots on Monday on the front lawn of his home. "It's just one little incident. I hope it doesn't happen any more," McKelvin said Wednesday. "I was mad, I was kind of like angry in a way, but I was laughing a little bit for what they put on there." McKelvin is being partly blamed for the loss after his fumble set up the Patriots' winning drive.
