Pacman Contacted By Wrestling Program

Nov 15, 2014 6:50 PM

Pacman Jones might be suspended from the NFL, but no one said anything about pro wrestling. Seriously. The latest twist in the soap opera involving Jones looks like it will include the controversial Titans cornerback being involved in professional wrestling. Doing flips off the ropes to pin an opponent or even taking part in the action probably won't be a part of his role, however, his attorney said Sunday night. Worrick Robinson, who represents Jones, said his client has been approached by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling "to participate in their line of entertainment.''

Sources: Goodell Bans Pacman From Camp

Sep 19, 2014 1:51 AM

Commissioner Roger Goodell has decided that cornerback Pacman Jones will not be allowed to participate in the Tennessee Titans' training camp, which opens Friday, NFL sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen. ones' representatives indicated recently that they believed Jones, after deciding not to appeal his year-long NFL suspension, would be able to participate in training camp but not play in any Titans preseason games. However, Goodell maintained all along that he had yet to decide whether to allow Jones to be in camp when he suspended him in April. Now, according to league sources, Goodell has decided against allowing Jones to participate in camp. A couple of incidents may have influenced Goodell's decision. A league source told Mortensen that Jones misled Titans coach Jeff Fisher about the player's most recent incident involving an Atlanta strip club. The source said Jones initially denied being at the club, only to recant his story to Fisher.

Fisher Expects A New Deal

Jul 29, 2014 5:10 AM

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher is heading into the final year of his contract, but Wednesday he said he expects a new deal to be ironed out without problems. There has been talk that Fisher could stall negotiations with the Titans and become a free agent after the 2007 season, when several high profile teams including the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Cleveland Browns could be in the market for a new coach. But Fisher echoed what he's been saying since the Titans exercised a one-year option at the turn of the year. "I expect it to get done," Fisher said. "I would say the same thing I've been saying: negotiations are progressing. Nobody's put a timetable on anything and we're just moving forward. I don't anticipate any problems and I fully expect to be here."

Apr 10, 2014 9:00 AM

Adam "Pacman" Jones could be allowed to participate in training camp when the Tennessee Titans report July 27, his agent confirmed Tuesday. "That was the basic understanding when [Jones] withdrew the appeal," said Michael Huyghue, Jones' agent, who did not elaborate. Gene Upshaw, executive director of the NFL Players Association, also said, "That's my understanding, as well." However, a league source said that commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to make a final determination. A Titans source said he expects dialogue between Goodell and the team by the end of this week about Jones' status for training camp. "[Training camp] is one part that hasn't been glued down yet," the league source said.

Attorney: Police Pick On Pacman

Jul 31, 2014 6:46 PM

The Nashville lawyer for Pacman Jones said Wednesday the Williamson County Sheriff's deputy who pulled over the Titans cornerback last month had an agenda. The traffic stop resulted in three citations for Jones, who is serving a yearlong suspension from the NFL for multiple off-field problems, including six arrests. Attorney Worrick Robinson said Deputy David Hadley had "made claims in the past that he was going to pull over Adam Jones the first time he got occasion to, that's exactly what he had been bragging about around other people in Williamson County."
