Tom Brady Could Top 100,000 Combined Passing Yards

Jul 22, 2022 9:21 AM

Tom Brady is poised to surpass 100,000 career passing yards when you combine the regular season and playoffs.

Brady enters the 2022 season with 97,569 career passing yards, 84,520 in the regular season and 13,049 in the postseason. He'd need just 2,431 yards to reach the 100,000 mark.

If he averages 313 yards a game this year, which he did in 2021, he'll top 100,000 yards in Tampa Bay's eighth game of the season, which is a Thursday night home game against the Baltimore Ravens on October 27.

Buccaneers Unhappy With Leonard Fournette's Weight

Jul 19, 2022 9:20 AM

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly unhappy with Leonard Fournette's weight at mandatory minicamp.

The running back didn't attend OTAs throughout the offseason and reportedly weighs 260 pounds.

"Coaches were not happy, and that's an understatement, when he didn't participate in the OTAs, but then he shows up at the mandatory minicamp weighing damn near 260 [pounds]," Rick Stroud said of Fournette on the Sports Day Tampa Bay podcast. "And that's not a good sign for a guy that you've just spent a three-year contract on."

The Buccaneers signed Fournette to a three-year, $21 million deal after a very productive 2021 season.

Fournette is officially listed at 228 pounds on the Buccaneers website, which means he's possibly 30 pounds over his playing weight.

Tom Brady On Future: 'I Don't Have Five Years Left'

Jul 15, 2022 9:36 AM

Tom Brady, who will turn 45 next month, knows he doesn't have a lot of football left.

"I really don't (know when I'll be done playing)," Brady said in an interview with Variety.

"I would say it's year to year: Could this be my last year? Absolutely. Could I change my mind? Absolutely. I've realized I don't have five years left. I want to do it my way. I want to give it everything I got and see where I'm at. My body feels really good. I've had a lot of traumatic injuries over the years, but if things go really smoothly and we win, that'd be great."

Brady retired in February before returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just 40 days later.

Mike Evans Aims To End Up In Hall Of Fame

Jul 6, 2022 9:20 AM

Mike Evans, a four-time Pro Bowler, aims to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Evans is the only player in NFL history to start his career with eight consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Evans with the seventh overall pick in 2014.

"Yeah, of course," Evans said when asked about Canton. "I think about it, but obviously I try to stay in the moment as much as possible. But that's what I'm working for, why not? I'm trying to be the best in the game right now, and ultimately one of the best to ever play."
