Oakland Releases RB Dominic Rhodes
The Raiders have released running back Dominic Rhodes after his future with the team was put in question with the drafting of Darren McFadden, according to ESPN.com.
With Rhodes out of the picture, Oakland still has McFadden, Justin Fargas, and LaMont Jordan under contract.
Rhodes signed a two-year deal with the Raiders last offseason and was suspended for four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Raiders Trade CB Washington To Ravens
The Raiders traded cornerback Fabian Washington to the Ravens in exchange for a fourth-round pick on the second day of the NFL Draft on Sunday, according to the Contra Costa Times.
Washington was a first-round pick back in 2005.

He devoted an entire blog to his visit with the Raiders on Wednesday.
"He is a coach I would love to play for," McFadden wrote of Lane Kiffin. "He is the type of coach who can take me to the next level ... I think we'd be a great combination."
"I was really excited about that. He had a lot of energy, and he knows so much about the game and all the players in the draft. We spent about 10 minutes together, and I enjoyed it very much," he added about Al Davis.
Free Agent C Wade Signs With Oakland
The Raiders signed free agent center John Wade on Monday to fill a potential hole on their offensive line, according to an Associated Press report.
Wade has started 106 of his 126 career games since entering the NFL in 1998 as a fifth-round draft choice by Jacksonville. Wade started every game the past three seasons for Tampa Bay.
