Michael Bush, running back for the Raiders, awoke a fullback Monday, something that came as a big surprise.
"Yeah, that's all I'm going to say about that," Bush said after Monday's practice, which was done behind closed gates in Alameda for the first time since training camp started.
"I've always been a team player," Bush ended up saying. "So, it's one of those things. You just suck it up, go about your business and try to have some fun with it."

Raiders Could Turn To Horn?
The Raiders have lost Drew Carter for the entire 2008 season and could look to veteran Joe Horn. They also can wait to see which receivers hit the waiver wire when teams turn in 53-man rosters Saturday.
"There's not a lot of history as far as guys playing in the league besides Javon and Ronald," Lane Kiffin said about his receivers during a conference call Sunday.
"None of those guys (has) really played before ... so it would be tough to only go with two guys who have played before."
Raiders' Carter, O'Neal Out For Season
Raiders' wide receiver Drew Carter and fullback Oren O?Neal suffered season-ending knee injuries in the first quarter of Saturday?s preseason loss to the Cardinals. Coach Lane Kiffin said during a conference call on Sunday, as reported by Yahoo.com.
Kiffin: Walker Needs To Improve Play And Enthusiasm
Lane Kiffin reiterated that Javon Walker, the team's No. 1 player at the "X," or split-end position, needs to step up his play and enthusiasm considerably in this all-important third exhibition game. If he doesn't, the coach implied that he would move one of the flankers Ronald Curry or Drew Carter, to starting split end.
"In the end, if it becomes something where Javon is not playing as well as we need him to play, both of those guys have learned 'X' so they can go over there," Kiffin said. "I don't feel the need to do that right now. I expect Javon to have a big game. I'm putting in a game plan, and he should see some balls early in this game. Hopefully, he'll make some plays."
Raiders Add Archuleta To Defense
The Raiders agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Adam Archuleta on Monday, in a move to add depth to their defense, according to an Associated Press report.
Archuleta was at the Raiders' practice facility Monday morning and left with trainer Rod Martin to take a physical. Archuleta was expected to take part in the night practice.
Niners And Raiders To Practice For First Time
The Raiders and 49ers will practice against each other for the first time on Monday in Napa.
Mike Nolan likes joint practices and he approached the Raiders this year, and they agreed, as long as there wasn't live tackling.
"Not that guys back off (in regular practice), but you know what you're going to get," Nolan said. "A game isn't that way. When you go into a game, you feel guys out. There's the unexpected."
