Jason Pierre-Paul: I've Probably Gotten Even Better

Nov 1, 2015 10:12 AM

Jason Pierre-Paul thinks he may have become an even better player following his fireworks accident.

"Of course it's going to have a special glove," he said. "I'm missing an index finger"

Pierre-Paul has been one of the NFL's best pass rushers.

"I'm still the same Jason Pierre-Paul," he said. "That hasn't changed. I've probably gotten even better. So you know, I'm ready to play football and help my team win."

Jason Pierre-Paul Agrees To Deal With Giants

Oct 28, 2015 7:43 PM

Jason Pierre-Paul and the New York Giants have reached agreement on a deal for the remainder of the season.

Pierre-Paul will return in either Week 10 or Week 12 as he works his way back from a fireworks accident where he severely damaged his hand.

Pierre-Paul's deal is heavy on incentives tied to how much of the remainder of this season he's able to play.

The Giants designated Pierre-Paul their franchise player in March, which meant he would have had to play on a one-year, $14.813 million deal or not play at all. New York wasn't interested in bringing him back on the franchise price.

Pierre-Paul will be able to rehab, work out and practice at the Giants' team facility starting Wednesday.

Giants To Reexamine Jason Pierre-Paul's Hand

Oct 26, 2015 12:01 PM

Jason Pierre-Paul will have his right hand examined by the New York Giants for the first time since Sept. 7.

Pierre-Paul planned to fly in last week to meet with the Giants, but since the early part of the team's week was compressed due to last week's Monday Night Football game in Philadelphia, the meeting was rescheduled for this week.

Pierre-Paul believes he could play right away if the team would agree to let him. But the Giants are likely to be more cautious, and there's a chance they won't clear him to play for them at all this season.

Daniel Fells' Prognosis Turns Optimistic

Oct 19, 2015 11:11 AM

The prognosis of Daniel Fells has turned optimistic after being in the hospital nearly three weeks with a MRSA infection.

Fells has undergone seven surgeries, thus far, on his foot that has been ravaged by the antibiotic resistant Staph infection, and more are scheduled. But sources informed of his condition say his scans and cultures have come back "looking good" and there is a real chance he's released from the hospital this week.

Fells has a long road ahead, and rehabbing will be his focus now that he's unlikely to return to the field with his foot forever damaged. As one source close to him said, "He's been through so much."

Doctors Optimistic Daniel Fells Won't Lose Foot

Oct 13, 2015 12:27 PM

Doctors are now optimistic Daniel Fells won't lose his foot.

Fells remains in a New York hospital for the foreseeable future as he and his doctors work to fight off the staph infection he contracted in his foot two weeks ago.

Sources with knowledge of Fells' situation confirmed to ESPN that he has undergone five surgical procedures, with more scheduled, in an effort to stop the infection from spreading.

Fells is in an ICU unit with a dedicated nurse, and his wife has been by his side throughout his ordeal.

The Giants dedicated Sunday night's victory to Fells, and the team presented him with a game ball via Skype from their Monday morning meeting.

Daniel Fells May Have Foot Amputated

Oct 11, 2015 11:51 AM

Daniel Fells, tight end of the New York Giants, has had five surgeries to stave off a staph infection, and doctors are fighting to avoid amputating his foot, according to a report by NFL.com.

Fells was diagnosed earlier this week with MRSA, a powerful bacteria resistant to penicillin-type treatment. Fells is expected to undergo more operations on his foot, which is at risk for further infection, according to the report.

NFL.com reported that doctors hope to save Fells' foot from amputation but also fear that the MRSA has infected his bone and could travel into his blood.

Bills Accuse 'Prima Donna' Odell Beckham Of Punching Duke Williams

Oct 6, 2015 4:36 PM

Odell Beckham Jr. appeared to punch Duke Williams in Week 4 following an Eli Manning interception.

Beckham was lit up by Williams during Stephon Gilmore's return.

"I don't know what's up with him," Gilmore said, per Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News. "He acts like nobody's supposed to hit him and you're supposed to let him catch the ball. He's weird. He gets mad when you play physical with him. He's weird.

"He's different. It's kind of like you're playing your little brother and he gets mad at you for being too physical with him -- throwing a tantrum. I'm like, 'Man, we're playing football. It's a physical game. ... He's a prima donna. He feels like he's on top of the world and nobody's supposed to do anything to him."
