Giants May Look To Remake Pass Rush In Offseason

Sep 15, 2014 10:07 AM

The New York Giants figure to make changes to their defensive line in the offseason.

"I've been told to expect a fair makeover of the New York Giants come 2013 regardless of what happens this weekend," said Chris Mortensen.

Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck are candidates to be depart the defensive line, while the secondary and offensive line are also areas that the Giants will look to remake.

The Giants have been built around a strong pass rush throughout the tenure of Tom Coughlin.

Eli Manning Blames Lack Of Practice Time For Struggles

Sep 15, 2014 10:09 AM

Eli Manning continues to struggle and has thrown for just 311 yards and one touchdown combined over the New York Giants' past two games.

"We're not making it easy on ourselves," Manning said. "It's just tough sometimes. Things aren't the same. Not quite as open, not quite as easy, everything is a little tougher. I don't think there is an exact reason."

Manning cites a lack of practice time with Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw as an excuse for the struggles.

"We've got some guys banged up, obviously, who are showing great toughness," Manning said. "You love the competitiveness, the hanging in there and being there for the team. It can be tough when you've got four or five guys who don't practice much during the week, if at all, and then show up on game day.

"Again, you love the toughness, you love the competitiveness, you love the team attitude and doing whatever it takes. It's hard to continue to play at a high level sometimes."

David Wilson Will Stop Doing TD Backflips

Sep 15, 2014 10:07 AM

David Wilson said on Friday that he will stop doing backflips after he scores a touchdown.

The New York Giants don't want Wilson to risk an injury doing the backflips.

“I think it’s for the team’s best interests,” he said. “I don’t want to make anyone upset or nervous or scared. I want to do something that people enjoy rather than worry about.”

Andre Brown is out for the season and Ahmad Bradshaw will not travel to Atlanta due to a sprained knee.

Nicks Banged Up Knee, X-Rays Negative

Jun 14, 2014 3:06 AM

Hakeem Nicks had four catches for 67 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, but also took contact on his sore left knee that concerned New York Giants' trainers.

“I came through physically OK,” Nicks said. “I think I might have came down a little bit on my knee but I’m so used to doing it, it goes away in about a play or two.”

Nicks confirmed he underwent an X-ray after the game.

“Yeah, I did, everything was good,” said Nicks.
