Hakeem Nicks Signs With Giants

Nov 17, 2015 12:32 PM

Hakeem Nicks has signed with the New York Giants now that Victor Cruz has been ruled out for the entire 2015 season.

Nicks is still just 27 years old and was a key part of their Super Bowl XLVI team.

Nicks had 56 catches for 896 yards and zero touchdowns for the Giants in 2013, and the Giants did not re-sign him after that year.

Nicks has struggled to stay healthy and productive since leaving the Giants.

Victor Cruz Out For Season With Calf Surgery

Nov 16, 2015 1:46 PM

Victor Cruz will undergo season-ending surgery on his calf.

"This hurts, mainly because I worked so hard to come back from my patellar tendon surgery," Cruz said in an UNINTERRUPTED video. "There are certain things that happen to your body that you just can't explain."

Cruz tore the patellar tendon in his right knee in Week 6 of 2014 and missed the remainder of that season after surgery. His rehab was going well until he tore a muscle in his left calf in a training camp practice in mid-August.

Jason Pierre-Paul To Make 2015 Debut Sunday

Nov 9, 2015 12:07 AM

Jason Pierre-Paul will make his 2015 debut on Sunday for the New York Giants against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Pierre-Paul has not played since last season. A July 4 fireworks accident cost him his right index finger and severely damaged other parts of his right hand. He stayed away from the team after the accident and returned just two weeks ago, at which time team doctors deemed him fit to return to practice and the team and player agreed on an incentive-laden contract for the remainder of this season.

Pierre-Paul had 12.5 sacks for the Giants last season and a total of 42 over the past five years.
