Jimmy Graham Detained After Medical Episode

Aug 19, 2023 2:44 PM

Jimmy Graham was detained by police in Southern California on Friday night after experiencing a medical episode.

The Saints said team doctors believe Graham had a seizure that resulted in him becoming disoriented.

Graham was found wandering in traffic and taken into custody on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

"New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham experienced a medical episode last evening, which resulted in him becoming disoriented," the team said in a statement Saturday. "He was taken into custody by local authorities and transported to a local hospital for evaluation for what Dr. John Amoss believes to be a likely seizure and spent the night under medical supervision and testing. Amoss [team doctor for the Saints] met Graham at the hospital and is overseeing his care at this time. He was released this morning and is with the team as they continue preparations for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers."

Source: Kareem Hunt To Visit Saints

Aug 7, 2023 11:20 AM

Kareem Hunt will visit the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, according to a source.

The Saints are looking for running back depth after Eno Benjamin was placed on injured reserve with a ruptured Achilles. Alvin Kamara will be suspended for the first three games of the season due to a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Jamaal Williams, who signed with the Saints in free agency, and rookie Kendre Miller, a 2023 third-round pick out of TCU, will likely be the immediate backups behind Kamara.

Alvin Kamara Suspended For First Three Games Of 2023

Aug 4, 2023 4:50 PM

Alvin Kamara and Chris Lammons have each been suspended for the first three games of the 2023 season for their role in a 2022 fight in Las Vegas.

Kamara will miss the Saints' home opener against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 and away games against the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers.

"Poor judgment on my end, definitely a bad decision, but I'm a man," Kamara said after practice Friday before the suspension was announced. "Anything I've ever done in my life, I've stood on and I can take accountability for. I can say when I'm wrong, and I was completely wrong. I embarrassed the Saints, I embarrassed my family and my mother, I embarrassed myself, I embarrassed this city and the shield, obviously I embarrassed the NFL."

Alvin Kamara Meets With Roger Goodell Ahead Of Potential Suspension

Aug 2, 2023 11:50 PM

Alvin Kamara met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday in New York City regarding his potential suspension for his involvement in a fight outside a Las Vegas nightclub in 2022.

"I think it shows initiative on Alvin's part to want to get out ahead of this and get his side of the story out in terms of visiting with the commissioner. So, we'll see where it goes," Dennis Allen said.

Kamara reached a plea agreement at the beginning of July and is no longer facing a felony charge for his role in the fight.
