Alvin Kamara Runs For NFL Record Six Touchdowns

Dec 25, 2020 9:05 PM

Alvin Kamara ran for six touchdowns in the New Orleans Saints' 52-33 win over the Minnesota Vikings, tying the NFL record for most touchdowns in a game that ws set by Ernie Nevers in 1929.

Kamara is only the fourth player to score six TDs of any kind a game, joining Nevers, Gale Sayers (1965) and Dub Jones (1951).

The Saints (11-4) still have an outside chance at the NFC's No. 1 seed but will need some help.

Saints To Start Drew Brees Against Chiefs

Dec 18, 2020 3:51 PM

The New Orleans Saints will start Drew Brees for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Saints believe Brees is now fully healthy from his broken ribs.

Sean Payton insisted earlier this week that Brees would not be rushed back into the lineup and that he would need to "be asymptomatic, feeling good, strong and like he can function and be an asset and play well." Brees apparently met the standard he needed to reach.

Drew Brees Has 'A Ways To Go' In Recovery

Dec 17, 2020 8:50 AM

The New Orleans Saints have designated Drew Brees to return to practice, but Sean Payton says the quarterback still has "a ways to go" in his recovery from 11 broken ribs and a punctured lung.

"We haven't ruled anything just because we don't have to," Payton said when asked if there is a chance that Brees could play Sunday. "He's got a ways to go still, and he's someone we're not gonna just hurry back and just put him in the game."

"I think the significance of the injuries are such that you've gotta make sure he can function and feel confident."
