Chris Olave Arrested On Suspicion Of Reckless Driving

Oct 24, 2023 8:15 AM

Chris Olave was arrested Monday night in Kenner, Louisiana, on suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, according to authorities.

Kenner police said the New Orleans Saints wide receiver was driving 70 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Olave, 23, was booked into the Kenner jail Monday night and was set to be released once the paperwork was processed.

The Saints did not practice Monday after they were given the weekend off following a Thursday night game last week.

Derek Carr Apologized To OC Pete Carmichael For Sideline Outburst

Oct 17, 2023 7:59 AM

Derek Carr says he apologized to New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael for a sideline outburst in the fourth quarter of the team's 20-13 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Carr appeared to be gesturing in frustration as he came off the field late in the game and spoke to Carmichael on the sideline.

"I apologized to Pete actually on the airplane," Carr said. "I was talking to Pete, but I wasn't talking about Pete. Pete and I know exactly what I was talking about, and why. When the game's on the line, that's when you have to be on every detail of your assignment. And I was a little upset at some of those things. It had nothing to do with Pete, he just happened to be the one that walked up when I was a little angry."

Carr admitted he was "livid" after the game. The Saints totaled 430 yards of offense but went 0-3 in the red zone and missed two field goals. Carr acknowledged there were miscommunication issues that led to some of the stalled drives.

"Until we get on the same page, there's going to be sucky feelings," Carr said.
