Saints Hand Tom Brady First Shutout Since 2006

Dec 20, 2021 8:20 AM

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-0 on Sunday night, handing Tom Brady his first shutout since 2006.

It was just the third time Brady has been shut out in his career.

The Saints are now the only team to ever beat Brady in four consecutive regular-season games -- though Brady and the Buccaneers did beat New Orleans in the playoffs last season.

Brady was 26-of-48 passing for 214 yards with one interception, one lost fumble and four sacks.

Saints To Start Taysom Hill At Quarterback Against Cowboys

Dec 1, 2021 10:23 PM

Taysom Hill will start at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints in their Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Hill practiced fully all week with a partially torn plantar fascia that has limited him since Week 10.

The versatile playmaker was limited to an emergency backup role the past two weeks. But he said Tuesday that he is feeling "a lot better" this week.

Hill replaces Trevor Siemian, who went 0-4 as the Saints' starter after he initially earned a victory in relief of the injured Jameis Winston in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
