Foster Moreau has been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and is stepping away from football while he undergoes treatment.

The free agent was diagnosed following a physical conducted by the New Orleans Saints' medical staff. Moreau visited with the Saints in New Orleans and also visited the Cincinnati Bengals last week.

"Through somewhat of a miraculous process, this Free Agency period has been life changing for me," Moreau wrote on Twitter.

"During a routine physical conducted by the Saint's medical team down in New Orleans, I've come to learn that I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma and will be stepping away from football at this time to fight a new opponent: Cancer. I'm grateful for the support and thankful for the people who have stood firm with me. There hasn't been a single step I've taken without hundreds of people lighting the path before me and I will continue to seek their guidance."

Dr. John Amoss, the Saints' longtime team physician, helped make the diagnosis. Amoss also discovered that former Philadelphia Eagles long snapper Jon Dorenbos had an aortic aneurysm in 2017.

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a contract with Jamaal Williams.

The two sides reached a three-year, $12 million deal. It includes $8 million in guaranteed money.

Williams led the NFL with 17 touchdowns in 2022.

Michael Thomas, who appeared to be on the verge of being released, is now expected to remain with the New Orleans Saints on a one-year contract, according to reports.

The wide receiver has played just 10 games over the last three seasons.

The financial details of the new deal haven't yet been reported.

The New Orleans Saints are finalizing a deal to bring back Jameis Winston.

Winston will return to the Saints on a revised contract.

Winston, who was set to make $12.8 million in base salary in the final year of a two-year extension he signed in 2022, will sign an amended contract for one year and $4 million, with incentives bringing the potential total value of the deal to $8 million, according to a source.

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a four-year, $150 million deal with Derek Carr, according to a report.

Carr will receive $100 million in guaranteed money.

He structured the deal to help with the Saints' cap issues, essentially receiving $60 million at signing.

As he works to determine his next team, Derek Carr has a "slight lean" toward the New York Jets, according to a report.

Carr, 31, has also met with the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints.

The Las Vegas Raiders cut Carr on Feb. 14.
