Veteran defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins, a source told ESPN, in the wake of a season-ending Achilles injury to linebacker Jaelan Phillips.

The South Florida native Pierre-Paul, who signed with the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 15 and is on the team's practice squad, said in a post to his Instagram account Monday night that he's "coming home."

The pass-rusher, 34, has not played in a game this season. He played 14 games for the Baltimore Ravens last year, posting three sacks.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple battery and criminal mischief around 7 p.m. Friday night, according to Kenner police. Thomas was cooperative and booked without incident.

He was released from lockup around 10 p.m., according to the police.
