Investigators suspect two African immigrants killed at a condo owned by Jonathan Vilma may have been slain as revenge for an Internet scam.
The two men were both shot in the head sometime on Thursday in a condominium in Woodward, N.Y., owned by Vilma.
Vilma was not there at the time and is not believed to be involved, said New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne.

The signing of Patten gives the Browns a veteran presence, and he could be insurance pending toxicology reports on wide receiver Donte Stallworth, who struck and killed a pedestrian with his Bentley in Miami Beach on March 14.
Deuce Says He'll Definitely Play Again
Deuce McAllister said recently that he definitely plans to play football again.
"Definitely," he said. "I plan to play."
McAllister is going through four intense 90-minute-to-two-hour workout sessions a day.
Several times a week he undergoes a medical treatment known as Active Release Therapy (ART), also known as Active Release Technique.
"The doctors think that the tightness in both by hips and my quadriceps is what has led to a lot of my knee issues," McAllister says. "Basically, we are working to loosen up my hips and upper legs to take some of the pressure off my knees."

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a contract with veteran free-agent safety Darren Sharper.
The 33-year-old Sharper has been selected four times to Pro Bowls during his 12-year career. He spent his first eight seasons in Green Bay and the past four in Minnesota, racking up 54 career interceptions, more than any active player.
"Darren is an accomplished veteran player that brings a wealth of knowledge and ability to our secondary and has always possessed outstanding instincts and playmaking skills," Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said.
DE Spicer, Saints Agree On 1-Year Deal
The Saints have agreed on a two-year deal with defensive end Paul Spicer, formerly of the Jaguars.
Spicer started 52 games over the past four seasons for the Jaguars, but was cut by the team before the start of free agency.
