Tom Brady Evades Questions About Personal Trainer's Access To Patriots

Dec 22, 2017 5:00 PM

Tom Brady deflected questions about how his personal trainer, Alex Guerrero, has had some of his access to the Patriots revoked. Guerrero can no longer be on the sidelines or travel with the Patriots on their plane.

Brady said he hasn't thought about how not having Guerrero on the sideline might impact him during games. Brady was also asked about his reaction when Bill Belichick told him Guerrero would no longer be allowed on the sideline.

"I don't really agree with your question, so I don't know what you're talking about. How do you know what he said?" Brady said.

When asked if he was saying the Globe report wasn't accurate, Brady replied, "I'm not saying anything. How do you say that [Belichick] said anything? You don't know anything about that."

Brady was then asked whether Belichick had told him Guerrero would no longer be allowed on the sideline.

"Well, I have a lot of conversations with him," Brady said. "Those are private between he and I. I don't think anyone knows what we talk about. Certainly I've never talked about it. He's never talked about it."

Earlier Friday, Belichick touched on the work dynamic between him and Brady.

"He's great to work with. Nobody is more prepared than Tom," Belichick said. "Tom is always ready to go, always on top of it. He really takes coaching well. He has a lot of good ideas."

Patriots Cause Friction By Reducing Role Of Tom Brady's Trainer

Dec 19, 2017 6:45 PM

Tom Brady's trainer, Alex Guerrero, has had his special privileges with the New England Patriots reduced.

Bill Belichick’s decision to diminish Gurrero’s role and return the Patriots to a more traditional medical and training operation has “created some friction in Foxborough," according to a report from the Boston Globe.

Guerrero treated many of Brady's teammates at his TB12 Center near Gillette Stadium.

Guerrero no longer flies with the Patriots or have sideline access during games.

Brady counts Guerrero as a close friend, business partner and made him godfather to his son Ben.

Infographic: Five Teams Rank In Top-10 In Offense, Defense DVOA

Dec 13, 2017 12:30 PM

The NFL has five teams ranking in the top-10 in DVOA on both Offense and Defense after Week 14. In an indication of how much turnover there's been in parts of the NFL, none of those five teams (Rams, Eagles, Vikings, Saints and Chargers) made the playoffs in 2016.

The Chiefs, Cowboys, Steelers, Falcons and Patriots also rank in the top-10 on offense, while the Jaguars, Broncos, Panthers, Ravens and Cardinals rank in the top-10 on defense.

The Seahawks, who have consistently been one of the NFL's top teams in DVOA during the Russell Wilson era, are just outside the top-10 in both categories.
