After being assured by management that he will not be traded, Lions receiver Roy Williams has decided that he wants to play his entire career with the team, according to the Detroit Free Press.
"I want to stay here. I think we're headed in the right direction," Williams said Wednesday.
"I'm ready to do whatever," he added. "If they want to make me a Lion for life, I'm good with that. If not, I'm just going to play my type of ball and see what happens after that."

Cowboys And Titans Talk Pacman Trade
According to a source, the Cowboys and Titans are having trade talks surrounding Pacman Jones.
Manubir Arora, Jones' agent, says the Patriots and Lions are also interested in his client.
Asked Jones' preference of a future team, Arora said, "Every kid grows up wanting to play for the Dallas Cowboys."
"We want to go to an established team with good infrastructure and leadership," Arora told Werder. "Both the Cowboys and Patriots have veteran coaches who have been through these kinds of things before, good player liaisons and mentoring, and if you have those things and a winning program, then I think all these problems go away.
"All of Adam's issues have been offseason issues, not team issues."
Marinelli: Roy Williams Isn't Going Anywhere
Lions' Coach Rod Marinelli continues to insist that wide receiver Roy Williams isn't going anywhere, according to the Detroit Free Press.
"Roy is here," he said.
When told that teams will still being calling about Roy's services, Marinelli said:
"I guess probably when you're a beautiful girl, everybody keeps knocking on your door for a date. Then the old dad keeps coming out and says, 'Nope.' "
Kitna: We Can Win 10 Games In 2008
For the second-straight season Jon Kitna claims that the Lions can win ten games in the upcoming season, according to the Detroit Free Press.
"Last year was not a prediction; it was a statement of fact that if we didn't win 10 games, we would be disappointed, and I would say that would still hold true this year," Kitna said. "We will be disappointed, but we're going to be a better football team."
He thinks that Tatum Bell can help take the team to the next level this season.
"I'm excited about Tatum Bell. I love Tatum Bell. I think he's going to be great in this system," Kitna said. "He's obviously been a 1,000-yard rusher in this league."
Lions Cut Former Starting RB Jones
The Detroit Lions cut former starting running back Kevin Jones on Thursday after re-signing Tatum Bell, according to ESPN.com.
The former first round pick would have been entering the final year of his rookie contract and was scheduled to make a little more $2 million this season.
Tatum Bell Signs On To Stay In Detroit
Tatum Bell has signed a one-year deal with the Lions and will compete for the starting job with newly-signed running back Julius Jones, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton.
Bell will make $1.6 million with the team in 2008, after starting four games for the Detroit last season.
CB Kelly Joins Teammates In Detroit
Brian Kelly, who played cornerback for Tampa Bay last season, has agreed to a three-year deal with the Detroit Lions, according to ESPN.com.
Kelly becomes the fourth Buccaneer to land with the Lions.
Former Tampa Bay defensive tackle Chuck Darby, safety Dwight Smith, and safety Kavlin Pearson are also new members of Detroit's squad.

Roy Williams, who has been linked in trade talks with the Eagles, reportedly won't be traded by the Lions, according to the Detroit News.
