The Cleveland Browns have elevated Joe Flacco to the No. 2 quarterback on their depth chart, putting him in line to potentially start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson remains in the concussion protocol and sat out Wednesday's practice.

Flacco would be the fourth quarterback to start for the Browns this season.

"Big, strong arm. Obviously, he can make every throw," Kevin Stefanski said of 38-year-old Flacco. "He's done a very nice job in the meeting room, getting to know his teammates, getting to know the system. He's done a nice job."

The Cleveland Browns are signing Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco to their practice squad, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Field Yates.

It is expected that Flacco will get promoted to the active roster, sources told Schefter and Yates.

The Browns worked out Flacco on Friday.

The Browns are looking to add a third quarterback with Deshaun Watson out for the season because of a fracture to his throwing shoulder. 

Cleveland is starting rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns also have PJ Walker on the roster. 

Nick Chubb underwent a second scheduled surgery Tuesday to repair ligament damage in his left knee.

The Cleveland Browns running back underwent a first surgery repairing his medial capsule, meniscus and MCL in late September.

The team reiterated that Chubb should be able to return to the team sometime during the 2024 season.

Deshaun Watson will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a fracture in his throwing shoulder.

According to the Cleveland Browns, an MRI on Monday revealed that Watson had a displaced fracture to the glenoid in his right shoulder. Team doctors determined that Watson needed immediate surgery to avoid further structural damage.

Watson missed four games earlier this season with a rotator cuff strain in his throwing shoulder. He returned two weeks ago against the Arizona Cardinals and on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Watson injured the ankle during the first half but stayed in the game after getting it tested and taped at halftime. The quarterback left M&T Bank Stadium in a walking boot.

"I'll be fine," he said Sunday. "Right now, I'm not feeling well, but I'll be fine. I'll be ready to go and ready for that opportunity for us."

Jason Myers sent the Seattle Seahawks to a 29-26 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday at Lumen Field when he hit a 43-yard field goal in the final seconds.

That kick also sent Week 10 of the NFL season into the record books.

The Seahawks' win over Washington was the fifth game of the day that was decided on a made field goal as time expired, joining the Cleveland Browns over the Baltimore Ravens, the Houston Texans over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Arizona Cardinals over the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Cleveland Browns traded wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Detroit Lions prior to Tuesday's deadline.

Detroit sent a 2025 sixth-round pick to Cleveland in the deal.

The Lions were looking to add depth after Marvin Jones Jr. recently stepped away to "take care of personal family matters."

Peoples-Jones, 24, is in his fourth season out of the University of Michigan as a sixth-round draft pick in 2020.
