Eric Mangini expects to meet with Browns president Mike Holmgren on Monday to discuss his future.
Cleveland will face Pittsburgh in their season finale on Sunday.
"That's my anticipation," Mangini said.
Mangini admitted that even his six-year-old son is getting anxious about what might happen with his dad's job.
"He asked if we were moving," said Mangini. "I said, 'don't worry about it Jake, we'll figure it out.' So when you get those type of questions ... you don't think 'okay, how am I going to explain the situation to my six-year old?' That's part of the human element."

Wallace: Holmgren Wants To Coach Browns
Mike Holmgren showed up at Cleveland's practice earlier this week and quarterback Seneca Wallace believes that the team president wants to coach the club.
Wallace played for Holmgren in Seattle as well.
"I kind of do just because things probably haven't turned out the way he wanted on offense and being an offensive guy, I think he still has that itch to come back to coach," Wallace said. "But at the end of the day, he's going to make the right decision for the rest of the team."
Eric Mangini, given one reprieve by Holmgren last January, may not get a second as the Browns stagger to the finish of another disappointing season.
Wallace Won't Forgive Browns For Passing On Him
Pittsburgh's Mike Wallace remembers the 2009 NFL Draft every time he faces the Cleveland Browns.
Wallace, who was drafted in the third round, was passed on by the Browns in favor of Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi.
"I take it real personal every time I go out there on the field," Wallace said on a conference call with the Cleveland media. "I just try to make everybody pay for looking over me. ...I guess I just didn't really get much hype coming into the draft."
Wallace is happy playing for the Steelers.
"I?m playing for the best team in America," Wallace said proudly. "I'm playing in the best organization, a real loyal organization where things are ran real smooth over here. I wouldn't trade it for any team."
Players Support Mangini's Return In 2011
Eric Mangini may be in his final days with the Browns, but his players hope president Mike Holmgren decides to retain the coach.
"I have the utmost respect for him," cornerback Sheldon Brown said. "I can't say anything negative about him. You may find someone else, but I can't. He's treated me like a man from day one."
"I love Mangini," fullback Lawrence Vickers said. "He's a good guy, so I want him back. If not, I can't do nothing about it. Like he tells us, life goes on."
Holmgren hasn't spoken to the media since Nov. 2, when he said he would wait until after the season before making any decision on Mangini.
"He has all the intangibles," Brown added. "He learned from one of the best [Bill Belichick]. Obviously he knows the plan. For us, it's just going out and executing the plan. It's not his fault when we give up touchdown passes. It's not his fault when we throw interceptions. It's not his fault when we fumble. The players control that."
Ravens Beat Browns To Clinch Playoff Berth
The Ravens defeated the Browns 20-10 on Sunday afternoon to clinch a playoff berth for the third straight season.
Joe Flacco threw a pair of touchdown passes and Baltimore's defense dominated Cleveland.
McCoy To Start For Browns In Final Three Games
Colt McCoy will start at quarterback for the Browns for the remainder of the season.
He has missed Cleveland's last three games with a high-ankle sprain.
"It's no landmark day," McCoy said. "Today is the day that I know I'm the starter and I have to go out and play. I gotta go out and get better, and I gotta go out and help us win."
Browns coach Eric Mangini said the call was his to make.
Hillis Becomes 9th Player In Franchise History To Rush For 1,000 Yards
Browns running back Peyton Hillis has become the ninth player in franchise record to reach 1,000 yards rushing in a season.
Hillis reached the milestone with an 8-yard gain on his fourth carry early in the first quarter of the Browns game at the Bills.
The Browns acquired Hillis in an offseason trade with Denver.
Delhomme To Make Second-Straight Start
The Browns will start Jake Delhomme at quarterback for the second-straight week.
Cleveland will travel to Miami to face the Dolphins on Sunday.
Delhomme completed 24 of 35 passes for 245 yards as the Browns edged the Panthers 24-23 in Week 12. He has thrown 29 interceptions in his last 15 games.
Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy remains sidelined with a high-ankle sprain.
