Myles Garrett has purchased a minority stake in the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team has announced.

The Cleveland Browns defensive end is a regular at Cavaliers games.

"As a leader on and off the field, Myles has become a Cleveland icon and shares in our organization's commitment to being a transformative force for good across the region," Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said in a statement.

"We are honored to welcome this long-time friend of the team as our new partner and investor. Myles' passion and commitment to the city he loves will allow us to reach new communities and continue to build the successful future of this franchise."

Deshaun Watson is dealing with a rotator cuff strain, according to a report.

The Cleveland Browns quarterback continues to deal with both pain and weakness with movement in the shoulder.

It remains to be seen how long Watson will be sidelined. According to a report, an MRI on Monday determined Watson suffered no additional damage to his throwing shoulder during Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

For now, the Browns are considering Watson to be day-to-day.

The Cleveland Browns are expected to be without Jerome Ford for one or two weeks because of an ankle injury, according to a source.

Ford has been Cleveland's starting running back since Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will need to pass his pregame test before Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts, but he is on track to play, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Deshaun Watson said Wednesday that he "can't put a timeline" on a return from a rotator cuff strain to his right, throwing shoulder.

Watson, who did not practice Wednesday, has missed the Cleveland Browns' past two games and hasn't had a full practice since Sept. 22. 

He said that it's still "up in the air" whether he'll be able to play Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts.

"We just gotta continue to take it day-to-day," said Watson, who added that an MRI revealed a "microtear" in his rotator cuff muscle. "I'm not gonna put the team in jeopardy if I can't do certain things that is gonna allow us to be handicapped in certain situations. That's the reason why I haven't been able to step on the field."

The Cleveland Browns largely shut down the San Francisco 49ers after giving up a touchdown on the opening drive in Sunday's 19-17 upset win.

"We say it all the time. We're the best in the world, as a defense and particularly as a secondary," Browns corner Greg Newsome II said.

The 49ers zoomed down the field, going 84 yards on five plays for an opening-drive touchdown. The Browns held San Francisco to 10 points and 161 yards of offense the rest of the way.

"We just came to the sideline (coach Jim) Schwartz was like, 'That's their only one,'" Newsome said of the first drive.

"Everyone just started doing their job, what we do every day at practice. They didn't give us anything new. They are a team that is going to stick to what they do. We just did our job, and we were successful."

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel departed Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns late in the first quarter with a shoulder injury. Already without Samuel, the Niners also lost running back Christian McCaffrey in the second half to an oblique injury.
