Giants' Players Want Edwards In Blue

Feb 15, 2014 2:39 AM

A number of Giants' players have admitted that they would like to see the team trade for Browns receiver Braylon Edwards. "I think he definitely can lock down one side of the field when he's playing his best football," defensive end Justin Tuck said Tuesday. "He has the same kind of effect that Plaxico had. He's a tall receiver that can get downfield in a hurry and stretch the defense, which has the ability to open up our running game." "I don't know what the coaches are thinking," added receiver Steve Smith. "But I think he's a great player and I think if we got him he would definitely help us." New York quarterback Eli Manning said last week that he would love to see the team make a play for Edwards as a replacement for Plaxico Burress.

Action 19 News in Cleveland reported earlier this week that: " ... the Browns will either take USC quarterback Mark Sanchez or Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree. The Browns have the fifth pick in next week's NFL Draft."
