Bills Unlikely To Trade With Giants For No. 2 Pick

Apr 24, 2018 9:09 AM

The Buffalo Bills have a stockpile of draft picks and moving up to the top of the draft to take a quarterback has been floated as a possibility for quite some time.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane has a history with New York Giants contemporary Dave Gettleman, but that doesn't mean a deal for the second overall pick is likely.

"From what I understand, it's not going to be one of those things where they just sell out and (trade) all the way to No. 2 with the Giants," Ian Rapoport reported on the NFL Network. "I would be at this moment surprised if that happens."

The Bills are more likely to swing a deal if a quarterback they like slips to fifth or sixth.

Richie Incognito Retiring Due To Medical Issues

Apr 11, 2018 8:06 AM

Buffalo Bills guard Richie Incognito is retiring after 12 seasons in the NFL due to health concerns.

"I'm done, I'm done, that's it," Incognito told The Buffalo News. "It's been a long career. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. Nothing I can't restore with some balance, but the stress is killing me.

"I went to a doctor's appointment the other day and they said, 'Listen, the stress is killing you, what are you doing?' And I said, 'Listen, I'm just doing what I love and that's playing football.' So that's why I'm done."

Incognito took a $1.675 million pay cut last month to remain with the Bills for the final season of a three-year contract he signed in 2016.

Bills 'Trying Like Hell' To Move Up To Draft Quarterback

Apr 2, 2018 4:50 PM

The Buffalo Bills have parted ways with Tyrod Taylor this offseason and are trying to move up in the draft to select a quarterback.

"Brandon (Beane) is trying like hell to get up and get a quarterback," said one general manager who has spoken to Beane recently. "I'm convinced he'll trade up twice more if he has to. It reminds me of (Eagles general manager) Howie (Roseman) a few years ago (when he was moving up to land Carson Wentz)."

The Bills currently own the 12th overall pick.

Sony Michel Has Modeled Game After LeSean McCoy

Apr 2, 2018 11:26 AM

NFL Draft prospect Sony Michel says he's modeled his game after six-time Pro Bowler LeSean McCoy.

The former Georgia running back rushed for 3,613 yards and 33 touchdowns in 47 college games.

"Guys I look up to, LeSean McCoy," Michel said when asked who he compares to in the NFL. "Guys that make guys miss in open space and make big plays. Those guys are who I try to emulate my game after."

Like McCoy, Michel has also been a threat in the passing game. At Georgia, he caught 64 passes for 621 yards and six scores.

Michel is rated by many as a potential second-round pick and the fourth or fifth best running back in the class.

"I'm hearing all over the place," Michel said. "I think my job is to do the best I can to prepare for that moment. Whether it's staying in shape, and just getting ready for that big-time moment. I'm excited."
