Police: O.J. Murdock Dies In Apparent Suicide

Titans receiver O.J. Murdock has died of an apparent suicide, according to Tampa police. Police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said officers found the 25-year-old Murdock inside his car Monday morning with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Murdock was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he later died.

Bryant's Mom Doesn't Want To Seek Charges

Dez Bryant's mother has told authorities that she doesn't want to pursue a case against her son after an argument allegedly turned violent. A Dallas County district attorney's spokeswoman says the case DeSoto police filed against Bryant includes an affidavit of non-prosecution from the complainant. That means the complainant doesn't want to proceed. Police in the southern Dallas suburb arrested the Cowboys wide receiver last week after a July 14 incident in which he allegedly hit his mother.

Detroit's Berry Arrested For Assault

The Lions have another player arrest on their hands. The Detroit Free Press has confirmed that cornerback Aaron Berry was arrested and charged in Harrisburg, Pa., on Saturday morning on three counts of simple assault. Harrisburg police did not disclose much information about the incident other than to confirm that "there was a firearm involved" and that Berry was no longer in custody.

Report: Corey Williams Faces DWI

Lions defensive tackle Corey Williams was in court Wednesday to face a DWI charge, according to a report. Williams was pulled over around 11:30 p.m. on June 18, 2011, by Arkansas police for crossing the center line. "Corey did not report this incident to us when it happened due to the prohibition of contact during last year's work stoppage," the Lions said in a statement published by the Detroit Free-Press. "We are aware of today's reports. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have further comment when appropriate."

The Titans wide receiver was taken into custody at about 3:30 a.m. local time on suspicion of driving while intoxicated while accessing Fort Campbell through the main gate.
